Join Us at the NC Society of the ACOFP Winter 2026 Conference

Meet NC-PAL at The North Carolina Society of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians Mental Health Winter 2026 Conference on February 28, 2026! The conference will focus on Managing Mental Health in Primary Care.

The conference website covers this year's educational content:

Topics will include the integration of lifestyle medicine techniques to support mental health, best practices for managing benzodiazepine tapers, and approaches to addressing pediatric and adolescent depression and suicide. Additional sessions will explore the complex relationship between mood disorders and chronic pain, strategies for managing treatment-resistant depression, and the principles of applying trauma-informed care. The program will also examine the impact of screen time and technology use on pediatric and adolescent mental health.

NC-PAL team members are looking forward to connecting in-person with Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine as we continue to expand our reach to family medicine providers. Stop by our booth to meet Dr. Andi Diaz Stransky (MD), child and adolescent psychiatrist, and NC-PAL lead of engagement—as well as Marty Nelson (PA-C), who teaches REACH and provides NC-PAL outreach and education.

While you're there, be sure to join NC-PAL for two, info-rich sessions:

  • Dr. Stransky and Nelson will provide a special, 20-minute overview of NC-PAL's offerings during the conference lunch hour.
  • Aishwarya Rajagopalan (DO), child and adolescent psychiatrist, will present on the topic of Common Treatment Options for Depression in Children and Adolescents.

Don't miss out! Meet us at the conference, located at the Campbell University Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine, this February.

We can't wait to see you there.
