Join Us for the 5th Annual SEAHEC Summit for Behavioral Health

The South East Area Health Education Center (SEAHEC) is hosting its 5th Annual Summit for Behavioral Health on May 20-22, 2026 in Wrightsville Beach, NC, and we’d like to invite you to join us there! 

The summit is a great opportunity for healthcare and behavioral health professionals to connect and reflect on how to best support patients’ behavioral health needs. From the conference website:

“The Summit offers a comprehensive agenda, including workshops, plenary sessions, and breakout discussions, all focused on the latest evidence-based practices in the behavioral health field. Attendees will explore a wide range of topics, such as trauma-informed careaddiction treatmentchild and adolescent mental healthcultural competenceintegrated care models, and much more.” 

Education is at the core of this summit. A few workshop topics from the agenda include:

  • Implicit Bias in Mental Health
  • Orientation to Disaster Mental Health Intervention
  • Echoes of the Past: Healing Generational Trauma Through a Generalist Trauma Informed Lens

This year’s keynote speaker is Damon Tweedy, MD. You may know him as a Professor of Psychiatry at Duke University School of Medicine, or as an accomplished author with a New York Times bestseller. Join us for his Keynote on Thursday, May 21.
