Meet NC-PAL at the 2025 Growing Well Conference: Moving Mountains and Community! The conference, presented by AIHW Community Outreach and Education, will be held October 12-14, 2025 at the Leon Levine Hall of Health Sciences in Boone, NC. All health care professionals, community members, caregivers, and parents interested in youth with special health care needs in rural western North Carolina are invited to attend.
Topics will include:
- Medical management of children with complex health conditions;
- Evidence-based behavioral therapies;
- Cross-system collaboration in child welfare and mental health;
- Supporting youth through transitions—and more.
At the conference, you’ll be able to meet with Kendra Rosa (MPH), Co-Director of NC-PAL, and Kameron Bullard (MSSW), Program Coordinator and Behavioral Health Consultant at NC-PAL. And don’t miss an NC-PAL presentation on Monday, October 13! Gary Maslow (MD, MPH), Director of NC-PAL, will present “The Intersection of Neurological Conditions, Developmental Disability, and Mental Health.” Dr. Maslow has many roles within the field, including Professor of Pediatrics and Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences; Medical Director of the Duke Integrated Pediatric Mental Health Clinical Practice Unit; and Director of Duke’s Division of Child & Family Mental Health & Community Psychiatry.
