The COVID-19 pandemic has put healthcare professionals across North Carolina in an unprecedented situation, especially in long-term care facilities. Stress in long-term care facilities is continuing to build, and staffing concerns are at an all-time high. Facilities are experiencing a decrease in their workforce with no staffing pool to pull from and limited access to support from outside staffing agencies. Healthcare Nursing Home leaders and healthcare staff are having to make impossible decisions and work under extreme pressures. These decisions may include how to allocate scant resources to equally needy patients, how to balance their own physical and mental healthcare needs with those of patients, how to align their desire and duty to patients with those to family and friends. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the need for healthcare workers to build personal resilience to improve the quality of their daily lives. The goal of this live Zoom videoconferencing series is to provide Nursing Home administrators and healthcare staff with individually focused tools for building resiliency. All program dates are streamed on the Zoom platform from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM EST. Participant must login at 11:50 AM for attendance. One credit hour is earned for each session attended.
